In this article, I share about my own childhood, my views on fostering intuition in children and the fascinating intuitive ability of Extra Ocular Vision.
I was born in the misty, magical mountains of Brittany, France—the Monts d’Arrée.
I was a very sensitive child, and this world felt very intense to me. Every sensory input seemed to reach me much more deeply than it did others, and I often felt confused about how to deal with it.
I loved studying, but the breaks between lessons were challenging, and I would often search for places to hide, connect with nature, or read. Many years later, I learned that this type of personality has a name: HSP, Highly Sensitive Person.
As I moved through my young adult years, I experienced this sensitivity as a limitation and tried to toughen myself up. But thankfully, I also trusted what I called my guiding star, which led me towards meaningful encounters. Along the way, I gradually learned that my sensitivity was, in fact, a profound strength.
When I look back, there is nothing I regret. My life unfolded exactly as it was meant to, and it led me to who I am today: strongly embodied and aligned. But I do carry one deep soul wish: that sensitive children receive proper guidance in understanding and using their intuitive gifts. It is much harder to reawaken them later.
With appropriate intuitive accompaniment, children can do wonders. One of the most spectacular intuitive capacities I have witnessed is Extra Ocular Vision.
What is Extra Ocular Vision?
Extra Ocular Vision (EOV) is the ability to perceive one’s surroundings with surprising detail and accuracy while wearing a blindfold or mask. It is a natural capacity — especially accessible in childhood — that allows us to receive visual information through non-ordinary channels.
A recent study (Intuitu, 2022) showed the following results with children aged 6 to 12 after 10 sessions of Intuitive Vision:
-85% were able to perceive shapes and colours with varying levels of definition while blindfolded.
-41% were able to read while blindfolded.
Am I offering Children trainings?
When I launched my activity in 2023, I began working with children. I completed the Intuitive Vision Coach Training with Intuitu in Spain, focused primarily on accompanying children in the development of their intuitive capacities.
I loved this work, but I encountered several limitations.
First, I am not a parent myself, and it was difficult to fully enter a field that felt somewhat distant from my own life experience.
Second, intuitive work with children is far more powerful in person than online, and I live in a remote area of Portugal.
Third, I developed an absolute passion for adult coaching. Understanding the keys to reconnecting with one’s inner child can open marvellous doors of perception in anyone who feels curious to explore.
Nevertheless, I can offer training for children on request, at my place near Tomar, in central Portugal.
Extra Ocular Vision can be one possible outcome of my sessions. However, in my programmes I do not focus solely on EOV. I honour each child’s unique path, supporting all forms of intuitive development, whether visual, sensory, emotional, or beyond.
